Our Soldiers · Our Forebears

They stood for liberty long before history chose to remember them.

DHF honors the African American men who served in the Revolutionary War and the Civil War — patriots of color and the United States Colored Troops. Their service is the bedrock of our lineage. Their sacrifice is the reason we stand.
